Street / Breakdance LessonsOur Street / Breakdance classes are always full and are hugely popular with our young dancers. This high energy style requires physical strength and flexibility and a good sense of rhythm. We produce routines to some high octane music which, during our public performances gets our audiences to their feet. Keeping it real is our resident Street / Breakdance teacher Fraser Bennett who has worked with some of the UK’s most influential choreographers, joining Kim J’s dance troupe where they went on to be second top ranked crew at the UK Hip Hop Championships 2 years in a row. Fraser is an experience teacher and has worked on many of our Summer School projects, charity shows and dance demonstrations. His boys Street / Breakdance classes are open to boys from 5-10 years. Our kids and adult classes (open to boys and girls) are taught by Vanessa Gover and Emma Castle. They are consummate choreographers producing some extraordinary routines which have featured in our shows. These classes are great fun to take part in and, unlike other dance styles, do not require you to have a partner. Street and Breakdance is infectious and highly watchable. This is not a dance style for the shy, it’s about Action, Attitude and Ability. You can come along to our viewing gallery and see for yourself. Our teachers always recommend that dancers wear loose fitting clothes and trainers at all times. |
