Tap Dancing Lessons

All levels from Beginners/intermediate/advanced. Tap dancing was popular in the 50’s, featuring in most of the big musicals produced in America at that time. Breathless routines, fast footwork and Hollywood glamour was copied the world over in dance schools, theatres and on kitchen floors!

The American style involves close to the floor footwork, requiring the dancer to use much smoother footwork and flowing arms, just check out Gene Kelly and you’ll get the idea. Alternatively here in England our tap tradition is altogether ‘off the floor’ involving big arm and leg movements, we fly!

Tap Dancing Class
Tap Dancing Shoes

Dance Crazy offers you a chance to learn a fusion of both American and English styles, offering you the best of both disciplines. Are classes are designed to encourage individuality and confidence in students and are available to all ages and abilities. The steps are fun to learn and, with practice, you can soon create your own routines, all you need to bring are tap shoes and some energy.

For our more committed students keen to take their new skills to the stage can take part in our dance demonstration work we do at local functions, exhibitions and hotels. Alternatively you might like to get involved in our charity events we run in throughout the year.
